Get to Know Susannah
Susannah is on the Library Board and the Environmental Advisory Board for the City of Brentwood. She has attended the Brentwood Citizen’s Police Academy as well as the Brentwood Citizen’s Fire Academy.
Susannah is the Secretary and Treasurer for Act Too Players Foundation which provides scholarships to support children with financial needs as well as special needs children to be able to participate in theater programs in Williamson County. She has been actively involved in the PTO at Scales and BMS for the last 8 years in a variety of roles. Susannah has been working hard to represent the residents of Brentwood! Susannah received her Bachelor's Degree from Rhodes College, Memphis, TN, and her Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.
She is married to Dr. Robert Macmillan Jr., husband of 24 years. Susannah moved to Green Hills in 1989, and then Susannah and Rob moved to Brentwood in 2009.
Susannah and her husband have three children all of whom attended Scales Elementary and Brentwood Middle School. Her last two are at Brentwood High School and will graduate in 2024 and 2025 respectively. (will need to add Duncan’s military status when this occurs)
Previously, Susannah was Associate Director of Human Resources for Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) in Nashville. She has also served as a counselor for Youth Villages and a substitute teacher for Westminster School for Young Children in Nashville.
